Summer School Discounts

Every participant disregarding of nationality and affiliation is welcome to apply for a participation discount.

In order to apply for the Summer School discount, participant has to submit a separate discount request here (/request-reduced-fee).

Discounts will be granted based on reasons provided in the motivation letter, academic merit and achievements. Recipients will be notified individually upon the decision.

Discounts can cover only certain part (not 100%) of the registration fee. They cover neither transportation nor accommodation and meals expenses.

Due to recent support approved by our sponsors we extend the support program and plan to provide various discounts to up to 50% of participants this year.

DAAD scholarships for German students

Deutsche Studierende können sich im Rahmen des Go East- Sommerschulprogramms beim Deutschen Akademischen Austauschdienst (DAAD) um ein Stipendium bewerben. Das Stipendium setzt sich zusammen aus Lebenshaltungskosten, Reisekostenzuschuss und Kursgebühren. Weitere Informationen dazu finden Sie unter:https://goeast.daad.de/de/25457/index.html

The Summer School 2014 is supported by DAAD Go East foundation. There is a limited number of scholarships available for German students (German citizenship or permanent residence permit is required). Scholarship recipients will be selected on the basis of academic merit, personal achievements and financial need. To apply for a DAAD scholarship you have to:

• fill in the Summer School application form and choose the option *I want to apply for DAAD scholarship for German students.
• apply for this scholarship at the DAAD webpage separately by submitting all required documents
  (refer to the https://goeast.daad.de/de/25457/index.html)

The scholarship applicants will be informed about the results by DAAD and the Summer School.

Yandex grants 

Yandex company funds a number of Summer School participants that have an outstanding academic performance.The aim of the program is to increase interest of young researchers in certain scientific areas by providing grants for participation in the 9th Summer School AACIMP.This grant is not payable in cash and covers only the registration fee. It doesn’t cover transportation, accommodation or meals expenses.

Eligible participants should meet at least one of the following criteria: 

• to be a winner of the educational or scientific competition, national or international level
  (to be confirmed with the scan of the certificate).
• to have research papers published in scientific journals
  (to be confirmed with the scans of the paper copies or URLs of the papers).

Submission deadline for Yandex scholarship is 15 June.

Additional grants and scholarships

• Tübitak (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) supports students and young researchers from Turkey, see more at the web-site: http://www.tubitak.gov.tr/
• Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, students from Azerbaijan can apply for category "D" grants: "Participation grants for the international events", web-site: http://youthfoundation.az/en/. There is no application deadline, but potential recipients should apply at least 30 days prior the event.
• DoRa T8 grant (Young researchers’ foreign visits) program covers all the expenses for Estonian students, web-site: http://archimedes.ee/stipendiumid/en/sisulink/magistrandile/luhiajaliselt-3-21-paeva/
• Kristjan Jaak scholarship for Estonian students. The grant for foreign visits provides support for visits abroad lasting 3-21 days.
